Sir Elton is renowned for an interest in new and up-and-coming artists and has also chosen the pair to open his shows in Mackay and Cairns.
While not exactly household names in Australia, Busby Marou have played with some of the world's most-loved acts including James Blunt, Dolly Parton, K.D. Lang and Pete Murray.
Jeremy Marou and Thomas Busby started out singing around campfires in their hometown of Rockhampton before earning a following once they hit the tour circuit.
Their latest album Postcards From The Shell House claiming their first ARIA #1.
“We heard just as we were getting ready to release [our new single] ‘Getaway Car’,” said Marou.
“When we heard Elton had picked us, it was like icing on a very big cake,” added Busby.
Last week the pair performed at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane as the pre-match entertainment for the Broncos VS the Panthers in their NRL finals clash.
