The group has finished building a walking path along Main Road for 1.3 kilometres.
Almost 300 volunteer hours by Cambewarra locals has gone into building the path.
The project's aim was to get walkers off the busy road and be safe when walking.
Group representative Graeme Cord thanked Shoalhaven City Council for a $10,000 grant which allowed some material to be purchased and DruceDP for providing their earth moving equipment at no cost.
“Village community spirit has provided many hours of volunteer labour,” Mr Cord said.
The final project on the path is a pedestrian bridge which will soon be started.
