The Culburra couple was presented with life membership honours recently. 

The couple has been the catering officers for many years, along with helping out with anything that needs doing. 

Pam joined the group many years ago and Michael soon joined when Pam “dragged him in”. 

“I retired and I’d always worked with the elderly in community care and I needed to do something and that’s the path I went down,” Pam said. 

“It’s important to be able to keep the activities going for the older people and you get back from them more than you give.” 

While they’ve had to scale back their work recently due to Michael’s illness, Pam said they’ve made lifelong friends out of the group.
