The fourth-placed Tigers went into the match at the Northern Beaches Indoor Sports Centre knowing that a win against the Sea Eagles would have gone a long way to securing a home quarter-final.
But they struggle to find their groove all match, losing 86-82, thanks largely to a 32-point performance by Manly star Shem Dixon. In the loss, the only two Tigers to reach double figures were Alex Brown (24 points) and William Ozolins (19).
The Tigers will have to regroup quickly, as they host Sutherland this Saturday from 6pm, in their final regular season game – with the winner more than likely securing fourth spot and the loser potentially falling as low as seventh.
