Batemans Bay police have arrested a man wanted after being a passenger in a high-speed car chase and crash in the Shoalhaven.
Treidon Bradbury, 19, of Batemans Bay, and Anthony Robert Carroll, 20, of Warrawong, failed to appear in Nowra Local Court on Monday, July 3, to face a variety of charges.
Magistrate Gabriel Fleming heard the case against the men in their absence, convicted both of the charges and issued a warrant for their arrests.
Bradbury was then arrested in Batemans Bay on Tuesday, July 4, and will appear in Batemans Bay Local Court on Monday, July 10.
Carroll was convicted of taking a vehicle without the consent of the owner, never being licensed, and reckless driving, while Bradbury was convicted of being carried in a car without the consent of the owner and intentionally throwing an object at a vehicle.
At the time of the accident police said the five young people were lucky not to be killed.
