Highlights from beach were Fran Cruickshank (one salmon at 1.250kg), Marlene Smith (one tailor at 0.426kg) and Nathan Woods (one tailor at 0.546kg). Estuary’s stars were Malcolm Keevers (four flathead at 1.982kg), Glen Edwards (10 blackfish at 4.160kg) and John Muller (four blackfish at 1.824kg).
Doug Payne (seven fish, five species at 12.930kg) was a standout in deep sea. The rocks competition’s stars were Ron Smith (eight fish, two species at 4.070kg), Barry Muller (three fish, three species at 1.078kg) and Andrew Sutherland (10 Fish, three species at 11.400kg)
Awards went to Barry Muller (mystery fisher), Andrew Sutherland (mystery weight), Ron Smith (biggest bream), Andrew Sutherland (runner-up) and Doug Payne (winner).
Next season’s first competition will be on July 29/30, with tailor being fish of month. Before that will be AGM (July 21) and presentation (July 22) – both at Bomaderry RSL Club.
