At Figtree Oval, the Tigers lost by less than a kick 9.11-65 to 8.12-60, after leading for large parts of the encounter.
Goal-kickers for the Tigers were Nick McKay, Ben Girling (two), Jack Boxsell, Andrew Ellis, Phil Cowan and Nathan Thomas, while the best performers were John Muggleton, Courtney Ward, Boxsell, Jeremy O’Byrne, Corey Warrington and Ellis.
Cross-town rivals Nowra/Albatross suffered their 11th straight loss for the season, going down 21.18-144 to 3.1-19 to the Wollongong University Bulldogs. In the loss, the Vikings were best served by Vince Barwick, Brendan Farrell, James Eagleton and Callum Harper-Wirth.
Elsewhere, Kiama smashed Northern Districts 24.16-160 to 2.1-13 and Wollongong Lions came from behind to defeat Shellharbour City 9.7-61 to 8.9-57.
