The Mariners bats were on fire and there was another outstanding pitching display during Third Grade’s 13–2 win against Berkeley Eagles on Saturday at Berkeley.

Jayden Brain led from the front with 2 singles, a double and 3 RBI’S (runners battered in) with the bat.
The defence was strong all day with a double play from Jai Pike and Greg Symmans with bases loaded helping Mariners keep Eagles score down.
On the mound Lee Lawson had another outstanding outing throwing 6 strikeouts, 2 walks and kept the Eagles to 5 hits over 7 innings.
Other notable performances with the bat were Simon Levy with 2 doubles, Lee Lawson with 1 double and 1 single and Degan Brekelmans with 2 singles.
Stand out fielders for the day were Jai Pike, Lee Lawson and Dalton Haines.
On Sunday 6th Grade Mariners travelled to Kiama to take on Dapto Chiefs , Mariners going down 11–7 in a game that could have had a result either way.
The game was played in high spirit with both teams having fun and a laugh.
Brodie O’Reilly had a great day on the mound with 2 strikeouts and only allowing 2 walks and 2 earned runs giving up only 3 hits.
The highlight of the game was a spectacular running catch taken in centre field by Daniel List.
Another strong performance both in the field and with the bat by Greg Symmans.
Single hits of the day went to Archie Lasker, Tausia Antonio, Daniel List (2), Stuart Raymond (2) and Greg Symmans. The only double hit of the game went to Greg Symmans.
Other notable field performances went to Brodie O’Reilly, Austin Raymond and Jack Farrugia.
Mariners 2nd Grade had a bye.
