At the Tigers Den, the hosts, who are now 8-1, lost 50-45 to the Bears, without the services of star guard Kate Denyer (foot).
“Obviously we didn’t play as well as we all know we are capable of but I know the girls will learn from this game moving forward with the rest of the season,” Tigers captain Olivia Patterson said.
In the loss, Kate Bellamy top-scored with 14 points, while Hannah Ryan chipped in 12 and Chiara Arthur scored eight.
The Kerrianne Allan team now have the weekend off before heading to the Bathurst Indoor Sports Stadium to take on the Bathurst Goldminers in a top of the table clash on July 1. As it stands, the only loss the Goldminers, who are 6-1 on the season, have to their name this season is at the hands of the Tigers, who edged them out at the Tigers Den by three points on April 8.
