North Nowra woman charged with high range drink driving after crashing into ambulance

A woman whose car crashed into the front of a NSW Ambulance operation manager’s utility has recorded a breath analysis four times the legal limit.

Police said the woman was driving on Scenic Drive, Nowra, near the Nowra pool complex, around 3.30pm on Wednesday when it collided with the front of the ambulance utility.

No one was injured in the accident but police were called to the scene.

The 58-year-old female driver from North Nowra was subjected to a roadside breath test and returned a positive reading.

A breath analysis at the Nowra police station returned a reading of 0.216.

The woman’s licence was disqualified.

She was bailed to appear in Nowra Local Court at a future date.
