The school walked to the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre and across the Nowra Bridge to reflect and remember the Stolen Generations.
National Sorry Day is an Australia-wide observance held on May 26 each year.
Nowra East Public School teacher Belinda Stewart said the day gives people the chance to come together and share the steps towards healing for the Stolen Generations, their families and communities.
“We will also light a candle to remember all the people who came through the Stolen Generations,” she said.
“We will light it for everyone to show our respect.”
The school lights a candle every year on National Sorry Day, but took part in the bridge walk for the first time this year.
