Tyron Frank Jol, 42, of Nowra pleaded guilty to high-range drink-driving in Nowra Local Court on Monday.
The court heard Jol was caught by police driving on the Princes Highway at South Nowra at 11.10am on March 9, returning a reading of 0.223.
Magistrate Gabriel Fleming placed Jol on a 12-month suspended sentence and disqualified him from driving for nine months.
He has also been ordered to have an interlock device fitted to his car for 24 months once he is back behind the wheel.
