A man has been charged with murder after his mother was found dead at Sylvania in Sydney's south on Monday.

Linda Connors, 55, was discovered in the family's home on Florida Street by her eldest son at about 6.45am.
He called police, who responded and set up a crime scene.
Local police and detectives from the Homicide Squad began investigating the death, which they described as suspicious.
Ms Connors' younger son Nathan Connors - also known as Nathan White - was arrested a short time later.
The 28-year-old was stopped by the Highway Patrol while driving a car on the Princes Highway at St Peters.
In a statement, police said the car's number plate was automatically detected by a passing police car, with an alert advising officers to pull the car over.
Mr Connors was taken to Newtown Police Station, where he was questioned for several hours then charged with murder on Monday night.
He was refused police bail and will appear at Newtown Local Court on Tuesday.
Superintendent Michael O'Toole from ???Miranda Local Area Command told Fairfax Media the older brother was "very distraught" about what had happened.
Neighbours remembered Ms Connors as being a nice person who worked full time and was often seen doing yard work.
