A STRONG attacking first half performance from the Shellharbour City Sharks secured a comfortable 42-10 victory over the Albion Park-Oak Flats Eagles at Ron Costello Oval on Sunday.

The home side were well controlled and put on an outstanding display of attacking rugby league their third victory of the 2017 season.
Despite being a much improved outfit in the second half, it proved to be a difficult day at the office for the Eagles.
Mistakes in their own territory and conceding penalties in their own half didn’t help their cause.
Before the match commenced both sides and all who attended the match paid their respects as the Anzac commemoration took place.
The Sharks opened the scoring for the afternoon thanks to a 60 metre individual converted effort from Wayde Aitken as the Sharks raced to an early 6-nil lead.
The Eagles would hit back in brilliant fashion through winger Callum Azzopardi who made a miraculous put down on the western touchline.

An eight point try to Ryan McCracken, Dylan McGregor from close range and Ian Catania out wide. Matt Carroll had a terrific day with the boot as he slotted five goals.
At half-time the Sharks were up 26-4.
Shellharbour look set to continue with their enterprising football.
Dylan McCregor managed to fend off four defenders and assist Matt Carroll for an amazing 50 metre try.
The Sharks led 32-4.
Both sides found it hard to gain any momentum in the second half, as the match became dominated with errors and penalties.
The Eagles showed a lot of fight as a hard working Josh Sainsbury scored from close range.
The Eagles trailed by 22.
The Sharks put the game to bed as Wayde Aitken and Matt Carroll both secured a double.
Matt Carroll nailed two conversions and at full time the Sharks ran out winners 42-10.
Matt Carroll, Dylan McGregor, Brock Skelly, Ian Catania and Wayde Aitken were excellent for the Sharks while Josh Sainsbury, Scott Austin, Chris Rowles, Blake Jones and Jack Scurr were the Eagles best.
