Originally from England, David travelled to Australia in 1951 by boat.
Just a few short years later the sports mad and hopeless romantic met, and fell in love with a vivacious and strikingly beautiful young lady by the name of Patricia in the small country town of Grenfell.
After many attempts to win her heart, he eventually succeeded and they were married by the Cannon Usher in Grenfell Anglican church on April 27, 1957.
Over the past 60 years they have led an adventurous life together, travelling and exploring many places including England, Paris, and Fuji to name a few, before returning home and making their permanent roots on the NSW South Coast.
After living in both Nowra and Ulladulla for more than 45 years, and participating in many community clubs including Probus, Rotary and Inner Wheel, they have finally decided to call Berry their forever home and retire to enjoy the quiet, scenic life.
They have three daughters, nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and have always enjoyed having a large, close-knit family.
The 27th not only celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary, but the diamond life they have created to go along with their diamond marriage.
