As in previous years, Captain Tony Aldred led the parade and the catafalque party was provided by Albatross.
The flyover from aviators from HARS of the historic Caribou and Dakota DC3 delighted the crowd, as did the finale from the modern ‘squirrel’ helicopter flown by a navy pilot from Albatross.
The emotional commemorative address was presented by Ben Stapleton, a young Kangaroo Valley and the students from Kangaroo Valley Public School played prominent roles in the ceremony.
