The Kangaroo Valley Pioneer Village Museum hosted Pioneer Days on Saturday, April 22 and Sunday, April 23.
The weekend featured interactive displays, including milking and shearing demonstrations by hand. Local tradesmen also demonstrated pioneer techniques such as leather work and leadlighting.
Geoff Cochrane and his bullock team provided an early Sunday morning spectacle for visitors and locals as they crossed the Kangaroo Valley Bridge.
“It’s the second year I’ve done it and it’s all about showing people how things used to be done in the early days of settlements,” he said.
“The purpose of having a bullock team to show them how things were done before cars and trucks.”
Geoff was joined by his grandchildren Riley and Dusty Cochrane for the event. The trio slept under the stars with the bullocks before their Sunday morning bridge crossing.
