The 16-year-old from Berry took out reserve champion in the RAS/Australian Pony Stud Book Society young judges competition state final for Welsh Mountain ponies and reserve champion for the light harness young judges competition.
“I was extremely pleased, I did not expect to get two reserve champions as there were extremely talented girls competing against me,” Miss Johnson said.
“I am very grateful for the opportunity to compete at this level and learn from such experienced judges.
“It is easy to judge from the sideline, but to be in the ring and judge close up you get the opportunity to really apply the knowledge you have to the ponies presented to you on the day,” she said.
“It also gives me an opportunity to learn and receive feedback to help me become a judge in the future.”
The Sydney Royal young judges competitions attracts around 300 entries and competitors are judged on how well they judge the exhibits.
