Shoalhaven president Craig Howsan said in a statement, pitches could not be prepared to a safe standard due to the wet weather.
"Unfortunately the wet weather has beaten us with respect to the turf matches this week end,” he said.
“The grounds-persons responsible for both have determined that there is no way to prepare a pitch for this weekend.
“Both grounds have been assessed as being too wet/dangerous with no prospect of play on either day.”
He continued to say with the forecast of rain, it was highly unlikely the pitches would be available for some time.
“Both grounds have been independently assessed to support the grounds-person's view,” he said.
“To this end, the SDCA now congratulates Berry-Shoalhaven Head, Nowra and Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemen on their efforts throughout the season, and pronounces that; Berry-Shoalhaven Heads are the first grade premiers for season 2016/2017.”
“Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemens are the second grade premiers for season 2016/2017.”
Mr Howsan thanked all players, grounds-people, umpires and supporters for their efforts through the season, and looks forward to 2017/18.
