At Bomaderry Oval, the visitors were no match for the Tigers, who played consistently across both days.
On day one, Jarryd Sue (5/19) ripped through the Cambewarriors, dismissing them for just 94.
In reply, the hosts made 209, thanks to solid knocks from Zac Blattner (63) and John Muggleton (53).
Pick of the bowlers for Norths was once again skipper Justin, who ended with 5/65.
In their second innings, Norths didn’t fair much better, only just scoring enough (125) to force the hosts to bat again.
Kaleb Phillips was again the star for Norths with the willow, scoring a crafty 53 not out from 58 balls.
Muggleton backed up his half century with the bat by claiming five wickets for the hosts (5/16), in a damaging nine over spell.
The other four wickets were shared between Sam Bagnall (two), Stuart Jeffrey and Matt Hickmott.
Needing 11 runs to secure the outright victory, the Tigers mixed up the batting order. Despite a couple of wickets, reached the target (3/11) in the fourth over.
“It was great to see one of our younger players Zac Blattner step up and score his first first grade 50 to guide us to a first innings win,” Tigers’ skipper Nick McDonald said.
“John Muggleton had a fantastic match also scoring his first first grade 50 and then bowling terrifically, taking five wickets.
“It was a very strong performance for us especially with the ball and hopefully we can continue this good form into our next match against Berry and leading into finals.”
This victory sees the Tigers move into second, just five points behind league-leaders Berry Shoalhaven Heads – who they coincidentally play in the final round game of the season.
The winner of this match will secure the minor-premiership and the all important home-ground advantage during the finals series.
