The store is hosting a Worlds Greatest Shave fundraiser on Saturday, March 18.
With a local barber on site ready to shave for donations, hair colouring and $1 from any burger sold to be donated to the cause, the store’s owner also planned to have local band the Lounge Lizards entertain for the afternoon.
The store’s owner Shaun James said he applied for a temporary DA through Shoalhaven City Council but was rejected.
“We were very surprised,” he said.
“We were rejected because a few weeks ago we had live music for a few hours on the weekend and someone complained.”
Mr James said if the store would like to host live music in the future, they will need to submit new plans and an environmental statement each time.
While the music’s been banned, the show will still go on and Shaun encouraged everyone to head down from 2pm to help raise funds.
“I’ll also be shaving my head and you can have your hair shaved or coloured for a donation,” he said.
The music ban has come as a disappointment to Lounge Lizards member and Vincentia resident Brad McNeish.
“It’s just ridiculous, it’s for charity and the organisers were just trying to improve the day with live music,” Mr McNeish said.
“I appreciate everyone’s right to privacy but for two hours on a Saturday, give me a break.”
Mr McNeish said the band planned to have two people playing at the event, one on the guitar and one on the keyboard.
Pop and rock hits from the 70s through to the 90s was on the agenda.

“Apparently after last time though someone rang the police and said ‘there’s too many cars and there’s too many people coming and going’ but I would have thought that would be a good thing and something we need in the area,” he said.
“Everyone except that one person seemed to be enjoying themselves.”
Mr McNeish is concerned the crackdown on live music will continue across the region.
“Angels Bayside Cafe in Huskisson who’ve hosted live music on and off for 20 years recently had one complaint and had their DA revoked pending investigation into noise complaint,” he said.
“St Georges Basin Country Club have had to get a decibel metre installed and if it goes over 84 decibels, it shuts the power down.
“I’ve got a lawnmower louder than that. When does it stop?”
