It was a good chance to learn and refine skills and the session closed with a half court game with everyone having to handle the ball before any shot for goal. It is a great way to learn and improve game skills and strategy.
Last Wednesday's heat and fine weather were welcome and we had a spirited game resulting in a win to the Red Team defeating the White Team 6-3.
We have also welcomed some new faces to flipperball for the new year and after the school swimming carnivals we hope to see all of our juniors refreshed next Wednesday. Last week’s Brodie Award went to our first junior member Jayden. Jayden was enthusiastic and applied himself well, scoring 2 goals when he joined the senior match.
This week will be the last match for one of our best players and head coach Jason. He will be shipping out and won't return until after the end of this season. We would like to thank him for his dedication and help and look forward to seeing him next season. We would also like to thank Cameron and Cameron, and a new experienced player, Peter, for doing a fantastic job helping and teaching our less experienced players.
Having social games makes it possible to join this sport at any time and it is a great way to get fit for your winter sports, so come and try something new at Wednesday nights at Nowra Pool, starting at 7pm.
