Committee members on hand to sign up players for this season were jubilant over the huge response from keen families lining up to ensure their children registered to be a part of the 2017 Group 16 competition.
The older teams were strongly represented with their coaches excited given the player and family response but for those who were unable to make it on registration day there are still positions available in the 7’s, 8’s, 9’s, 10’s, Mod and International Girls teams for interested players wanting to be a part of what will be another great season for Narooma Junior Rugby League Football Club.
Club Narooma are proud sponsors of Junior Devils and the day was made even more special as the club’s sports director Paul Naylor made a very generous donation during the morning, presenting a cheque for $7000 to Devils president Craig Swadling.
“It is this sort of support and enthusiasm that enables the club to thrive and become stronger every year,” he said.
A merchandising table was available on the day and this was well accepted with plenty of Devils footy gear at really affordable prices leaving the room.
Players are proud of their club colours and easily stand out at training and game days.
This Wednesday from 4.30pm training will commence at Bill Smyth Oval in earnest for all grades with Country Rugby League development officers in attendance to assist coaching staff.
Devil’s club registrar Nicole Swadling will be present as well for players wishing to register in teams with positions still available as mentioned above.
