“We’re always flying around the world it’s what we do, we’re a road band really,” he said.
“Funny enough I’ve never bothered with that but the other lads do, Frank [Allen] is always doing it and always flying off to New York for a couple of days.”
The Liverpool four-piece return to Wollongong this March bringing their hits like “Love Potion Number 9”, “When You Walk In The Room” and a cover or two but don’t expect a cover of Adele.
“She has an unbelievable voice,” McNally said, admitting “Rolling In The Deep” is his favourite from the diva.
“My misses is always playing that record … but I don’t think our fans would accept it.”
John McNally is one of the original founding members of The Searchers, a skiffle group from UK’s Liverpool, though unlike The Beatles, are still going strong more than 50 years on.
