Ron first joined the company in 1994 for the production The Sound of Music (Heir Detweiller) followed by The Mikado (Ko Ko) the following year.
Other shows included Calamity Jane (Danny Gilmartin) Guys & Dolls (Big Jule), Snugglepot & Cuddlepie (Kookaburra), Jesus Christ Superstar (King Herod), Sweeney Todd (Pirelli), A Chorus Line (Producer), Les Miserables (Pimp/Ensemble/Publicity), Anything Goes (Producer/Chorus), Into the Woods (Mysterious Man), The Pirates of Penzance (Pirate), Back to the Eighties (Teacher), Fiddler on the Roof (Lazar Wolf), My Fair Lady (Alfred Doolittle), The Boy From Oz (Dee Anthony - US agent), Beauty and the Beast (Maurice), Swing Fusion (Director), Chicago (Producer), Grease (Producer) and Oliver! 2016 (Producer).
Ron has also been on the set construction team for many of these shows as well as being a member of the AMTC committee since 2010 (secretary in 2012/13 and vice president in 2015).
An avid supporter of the performing arts, not just with AMTC, Ron's enthusiasm for musical theatre, his love of performing and his encouragement of the young performers makes him a worthy recipient for Life Membership.
Velma has been a member of the AMTC committee since 2007, standing in as assistant treasurer in 2008 and ultimately taking on that position in 2012 to the present.
Although not a performing member of the company, Velma has a true alto voice and has been involved with choirs and music for many years.
As the treasurer she has kept a tight rein on finances and delights in being the front of house person organising the programme sellers and acting as an usher.
