Worrigee couple Rick and Chrissy Carpenter did just that and tied the knot in a ceremony at the Nowra Courthouse on Tuesday, February 14.
“It’s a beautiful day, it’s a celebration of love,” Mr Carpenter said.
The pair have been together for about seven years and met as teenagers when they both students at Shoalhaven High School.
They have three daughters together, who went along to watch their parents marriage, together with four close friends who also attended and witnessed the nuptials.
“We’re not really religious or spiritual and we wanted an intimate ceremony,” Mr Carpenter said.
In keeping with the relaxed ceremony, the family also have a low-key afternoon planned.
“We’re thinking about getting some pizza, chilling at home and watching Netflix,” Mrs Carpenter said.
