David William Tape pleaded guilty to possessing a prohibited weapon in court.
Court documents stated Tape was discovered in possession of the credit card knife by sheriffs at Nowra Local Court on October 12 last year.
Scanning by the metal detector at the court building enabled sheriffs to identify the knife in Tape’s wallet.
Tape allegedly told sheriffs he had forgotten the device was in his wallet.
Magistrate Gabriel Fleming fined Tape $800.
He also faced two charges of possessing prohibited drugs.
Magistrate Fleming fined him $200 and placed him on a 12-month good behaviour bond after Tape pleaded guilty to possessing .9 gram of cannabis leaf and fined him a further $600 for possessing 0.43g of methamphetamine or ice.
