The 17-year-old appeared in Nowra Local Court on Monday facing nine charges over incidents on the Princes Highway at Nowra on May 10 last year.
Just before 5pm, police were travelling north on the Princess Highway at Nowra to investigate an incident at a Caltex service station at Bomaderry when they spotted a blue Proton Savvy hatchback with incorrect number plates travelling south.
Believing the vehicle may have been involved in the earlier incident, police turned and followed and attempted to stop the car.
Court papers stated the vehicle failed to stop at a red traffic light at the intersection of the highway and Moss Street.
Officers activated lights and sirens and tried to pull the vehicle over but it continued south and ran through another red light at the intersection with Kalandar Street, evading a further police vehicle before turning west.
Police eventually found the vehicle in Bromley Avenue, West Nowra adjacent to Filter Road. The juvenile was spotted walking away.
The teenager pleaded guilty to two counts of not stopping at a stop line at a red light, not giving way to a police vehicle or emergency vehicle, having illegal plates on a vehicle, driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle, driving recklessly, never being licenced and not changing lanes correctly.
Magistrate Gabriel Fleming fined him $3712.
