A Sussex Inlet man is warning other residents to be careful after finding discarded needles in a popular family spot.

Anthony Venticinque found the needles enclosed in a rubber glove on the banks of the Sussex Inlet River.
Mr Venticinque said he was shocked by the find.
“It's the first time I've ever seen something this in the area, it’s just sickening,” he said.
“There was kids playing meters away so I advised them of the finding and to watch out for other debris.
“This is a popular spot with parents and kids playing and swimming at that spot as it is considered a safe spot.”
Mr Venticinque said it’s the first time he’s found needles in the area.
The needles were taken to Sussex Inlet police station.
