After rolling Basin for just 59 on day one, Berry posted a massive 384 in reply, led by 88 from Nathan Thomas and 75 from Jarrod Mitchell.
If not for handy bowling from Basin’s Jamie Ryan (3/39), Luke Harding (2/29) and Mark Dhu (2/80), Berry’s total could have been more.
In their second innings, Basin couldn’t do much better than their first attempt at the crease, scoring just 60, with Tristan Reid being the only batsmen to reach double figures with 15 not out.
Jack Gibbs made is six wickets for the match, taking 4/19 in the second innings, while Ewen Porteous claimed 2/21 to secure the hosts at the Berry Sporting Complex the outright win.
Second-placed Ex-Servos kept pressure on Berry be also defeating Nowra on first innings and outright at the Nowra Showground.
The visitors posted 9/209 declared on day one, thanks to 60 from Simon Blizzard and 51 from David Harrison.
First innings points were secured when Ex-Servos dismissed the hosts for 108, on the back of Ben Pankush’s five wickets.
Ex-Servos then enforced the follow-on, which saw Nowra be all out for just 77. This time it was Blizzard and Ben Philpott who starred with the cherry, both claiming three wickets each, to secure the outright win.
At Bomaderry Oval, Batemans Bay claimed first innings points against Bomaderry.
After restricting the hosts to 150, Bay declared at 9/229 in reply, thanks to half-centuries from Sam Lee and Luke Condon.
With the ball, the standout for the Tigers was Matthew Bell, who finished with 5/55 from 19 overs.
At stumps on day two, Bomaderry finished at 5/125 in their second innings thanks to 61 from Bell.
In the final round 10 match, Sussex Inlet accounted for North Nowra-Cambewarra at Sussex Inlet Oval. Jake Westley’s 105 guided the hosts to 270 in their first innings before they rolled Norths for just 112.
Westley backed up his century with two wickets, as tea mates Gavin Kelland and Jason Hornitzky also claimed two scalps.
In their second innings, Norths ended the day at 5/127, with Hayden Strand the high man with 40 not out.
In other second grade news, Ex-Servos will take on Norths in the one-day decider after both teams won their respective semi-finals on Sunday. Ex-Servos defeated Bomaderry, while Norths upset Berry. The final will be on January 29 at Hayden Drexel Oval.
