Dramatic photographs and video have emerged of the vehicle which burst into flames around 1.45pm.
It is understood the owner of the LandCriuser may have been playing golf and returned, attempting to start the vehicle when it burst into flames.
The fire quickly took hold and despite quick action by the firefighters from the Fire and Rescue NSW Shoalhaven station the 4WD was totally destroyed in the blaze.
The petrol 4WD was also powered by LPG which was a concern for fire crews, who were able to extinguish the blaze before the gas tank erupted.
Despite bringing the fire under control quickly fire crews were at the scene for around 40 minutes.
Worrigee Links greenkeeper Tony Webster said he noticed a large plume of black smoke in front of the club from the golf course.
“I went to see what was going on and the LandCruiser was fully alight,” he said.
