Sixty years after meeting at as Belmore pub, George and Dulcie Crotty celebrated their milestone anniversary on December 6.
The Nowra couple were married at St Stevens in Newton, Sydney. Not long after they welcomed two sons, Robert and Mark.
At the time George was working in Harrison Timber Yard and the decision was made to relocate to Porters Retreat for a short spell and they moved to Oberon.
George worked at the Pine Board and Dulcie took on a role as a house cleaner. George later did some interstate truck driving for years for a small company in Oberon.
Their family expanded with two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
In 2002 their son Mark and his wife moved to Nowra. Having already holidayed regularly in the area and sharing a love of its warmer weather, George and Dulcie also made the move to Nowra later that year.
The couple celebrated their anniversary with family and friends.
