Retired Warrant Officer Ian “Tiny” Warren was presented with a Chief of Navy's Certificate of Appreciation following the RAN College passing out parade.
Mr Warren, accompanied by his wife Lillian, was presented with the special award by Chief of the Defence Force, Air Chief Marshal Mark Binskin and Chief of Navy, Vice-Admiral Tim Barrett, both who have had a strong association with HMAS Albatross.
The citation acknowledged the nearly 50 years of involvement Mr Warren with the RAN and in particular his superior performance in the areas of career-management, mentoring, and welfare of the thousands of sailors with whom he has been connected during his permanent and reserve service, spanning 1962 to 2012.
