A NOWRA man who allegedly attempted to take a collapsible baton and equipment for administering drugs into the South Nowra Jail has been refused bail.

Jeffrey Flack, 23, appeared before Magistrate Terry Murphy in Nowra Local Court on Thursday charged with attempting to take item into a place of detention, possessing an offensive weapon in a place of detention and possessing equipment for the administration of a prohibited drug.
The court heard between 3.50pm and 3.53pm on November 16, Flack allegedly tried to take a collapsible baton into the South Coast Correctional Centre at South Nowra.
He was also allegedly found in possession of a glass ice pipe, digital scales and two plastic resealable bags for use in administering the prohibited drug methamphetamines.
He will reappear in Nowra Local Court on December 16.
