Along side a number of events offered each week – hurdles was on the agenda and it was the first time the newly purchased set hit the field.
A huge investment by the club – the new hurdles are much easier to use and the athletes seemed to compete fluently across the variety of the hurdle events offered.
Thank you to all of the volunteers who assisted in the changes involved between events.
Congratulations to all of our athletes who competed at the first of the Grand Prix carnivals held at Albion Park last Sunday.
As always the athletes showed not only the best of competition spirit but great sportsmanship.
Zone entry forms are now available at the canteen or online, as are forms for the other Grand Prix carnivals – St Georges Basin [November 6], Shoalhaven [November 27] and Lake Illawarra [January 8].
The athletes always enjoy competing at these events and they are an excellent opportunity to prepare for upcoming championships.
Information can be found on the website shoalhavenlac.org.au or Facebook and Instagram.
Remember if you are wanting to register [new regos need proof of age] or buy uniforms – this can be done on the Tuesday until 5:15pm and competition starts at 5:30pm.
