THE weather is getting hotter, it’s almost summer which means we will all be wanting to cool off at some point.
Some people have their own swimming pools, while others go to the beach or to the local public pool.
I know I have spoken about securing your valuables heaps of times, however I think it would be prudent of me to mention it again because it still happens.
If you go to the local beach or public pool, please do not take in any valuables or if you do, don’t let them out of your sight.
Just remember, while you are out having a swim people are watching.
The crooks are watching you place your phone and wallet in between the towel or within the pile clothes you have taken off.
They are watching you leave your beach bag on the sand while you run down to the water’s edge and they are certainly waiting for an opportunity to relieve you of your goods.
Ditto at the public pool.
It’s over in a second and the odds are there is no evidence left behind to identify an offender.
Please, if you don’t need it, don’t take it.
Unfortunately, this week I have been very busy so it is a shorter than usual On The Beat.
I would suggest that the editor should make the photo of me bigger to fill in space.
