They all supported the need for more awareness when it comes to mental health.
Newly appointed Mayor of Shoalhaven City Amanda Findley delivered a great speech on her views of mental health awareness, which was followed by Colin DeFries’ honest and raw view of his own mental health issues and ways to deal with and seek assistance when feeling down.
The main speaker of the night was author of Journey of Hope Dr Michael Davey, who delivered a memorable talk on his own life experiences.
Dr Davey was fantastic and offered some tips for people to really consider when it comes to their own mental well being.
His seven tips for better mental health are laugh more, enjoy nature, exercise, exercise exercise, find good role models, be a good role model,de-sigmatise mental health and seek professional health
The night was also a celebration for the Men4Life Support Group's 12th birthday, which was celebrated in great style.
