Spring Into Sanctuary Point is designed to highlight the facilities and service available to the residents of Sanctuary Point and surrounding areas.
The event will be held at Francis Ryan Oval, Sanctuary Point on Saturday October 29 from 9am to 1pm.
Local, national and indigenous organisations will be invited to provide information booths showcasing their products.
Organisations such as dancing groups, art groups, sporting groups and the like will be invited to demonstrate their talents.
Competitions will be designed to encourage participation by, and patronage of, local businesses. Children’s fairground activities such as jumping castle and a petting zoo will be provided.
The RSPCA will conduct a ‘puppy parade’ and competitions while wildlife rescue will provide an animal display.
Life size puppets will also be there, with children invited to participate in the procession.
Adult entertainment will be provided by the demonstrations mentioned above as well as bands and buskers.
Local residents will be invited to participate in a car boot sate on a discrete section of the oval.
