In the Shoalhaven/Illawarra Region alone it’s predicted that this year 380 women will be diagnosed with breast or a gynaecological cancer, with 90 deaths expected.
Pink Ribbon fundraising enables Cancer Council NSW to conduct vital cancer research, prevention programs, advocacy, and information and support services for those affected by cancer, including at the Shoalhaven Cancer Care Centre.
Over 1500 volunteers across NSW will sell Pink Ribbon merchandise at sites including train stations, bus stops and major shopping areas ahead of the official Pink Ribbon day on Monday October 24.
Nowra residents can visit Bunnings South Nowra, Stockland Nowra and the Cancer Council Information Centre at the Shoalhaven Cancer Care Centre from 9am to 3pm to get their merchandise
