A HUGE first innings total set up victory for Berry Shoalhaven Heads Whites in its Shoalhaven District Junior Cricket Association modified under 11s match against North Nowra Cambewarra.

Berry, at its home ground on Saturday, made 5/150 runs and Norths could only make 7/65 runs.

The Whites built upon its cricket experience and displayed some excellent, attacking batting and bowling skills.

Each batting pair contributed to the score.

Norths, in what is for the majority of the team is their first time in competition cricket, are improving with every game and training session and their enthusiasm to play cricket is evident, both on and off the field.

The game was played in the spirit of cricket and enjoyed by both players and spectators.

For Berry Lachlan Turner made 19 runs, Chen Bersler 12 runs, Saskia Hilkemeijer nine runs and Charlie Lans also made nine runs.

Cooper Luke and Thomas Duncan made five runs apiece for Norths.

Will Webster 1/0, Campbell Bramley one-for-four and Harry Turner one-for-four were strong with the ball for Berry.
