Walking basketball will start on Tuesday October 18 at the Bomaderry Stadium and it’s a great way to people to get active and have fun.
Walking basketball is suitable for people with a disability, those who want to enjoy walking while taking part in a team sport, for people returning to sport from injury, for people who want to make friends and for community groups.
It all starts at 6pm, 12 month registration costs $15 and there is a $6 fee each night you play.
Shoalhaven Basketball’s administration manager Cheryl Hunter said the main aim is for people to have fun, get exercise and enjoy taking part in a new sport.
“It’s about doing exercise when you really don’t notice you are doing it. You are here having fun and the game will be completely modified,” she said.
