Kiama MP Gareth Ward encourages local residents, community and emergency services groups from across the Kiama electorate to nominate somebody extraordinary to potentially get them recognised.
The awards will be held at the Kiama Pavilion on Thursday, October 27 from 2.30pm, with NSW Minister responsible for Volunteering, John Ajaka special guest.
“We have so many dedicated volunteers, emergency services personnel and small business people across the Kiama electorate,” Mr Ward said.
“I am strongly encouraging people to nominate those who have made outstanding contributions to make our community a better place.”
Nominations close 5pm, Friday, October 21.
Nominations are open in a number of categories: outstanding local volunteer; conservation champion; young person in small business; small business; outstanding emergency service volunteer; junior sports (male and female); local sports (male and female); sports administrator; outstanding young citizen; and outstanding citizen.
Nominations forms are available at Mr Ward’s Terralong Street office in Kiama.
They can also be submitted via email to kiama@parliament.nsw.gov.au or in writing to the Kiama electorate office.
Nominations must come from constituents of the Kiama Electorate and the nominees must be from the Kiama electorate. Nominations must include details of why your nominee should receive the award.
