Archer Fishing Club members fished against Shoalhaven Heads Bowlo's Fishing Club last weekend.
There was a big roll-up and what a great time was had by all.
On Sunday, September 25, we started the day with a 12pm barbecue and the Archer crew put on a terrific meal.
Anyone who left the table hungry only had themselves to blame. A big thanks to Gail, Jan and Frank, also all the others who helped make it a great day.
Shoalhaven Heads went home the winner on the day.
They had 119 fish for 50.956 kilos.
The Archer only managed 32 fish for 18.898 kilos.
Winning did not mean a thing to anyone, but enjoying one another’s company and having a great time as everyone did was the best part of the day. Thanks Shoalhaven Heads Bowlo's for a great day.
Shoalhaven Heads winners: No Junior Girls fished but three boys were awarded prizes – Lincoln Ryan, Cooper Ryan and Louie Chilver. Ladies: Theresa Attling; Gents: Andy Jack and Mark Ryan.
In the Archer, Junior Girl Bella Fernie but no boys fished. Ladies: Gail Biggs and Gents: Wayne Anderson and Glenn Drady.
Biggest bream went to Louie Chilver 1.092kg. Biggest snapper Mark Ryan 4.098kg; biggest flathead went to Tom Attling.
Our next outing against the Heads will be January and our next club outing is October 21-23 followed by our trip to Wyangala on November 5-6.
