Sussex Inlet RFS and Georges Basin RFS responded to several 000 calls on Sunday, September 25 just before 7pm.
James Morris, District RFS Officer said crews battled the fire for five hours but the two storey property could not be saved.
The neighbouring home suffered damage to windows and curtains.
Fire crews are attending the scene on Monday, September 26 to determine the cause of the blaze.
