Legally Blonde the Musical is the next production by Albatross Musical Theatre Co to hit the stage, so to celebrate the cast will dance their way down Junction Street for the 2016 River Festival parade.
An impressive B-double has been provided by TNT which will float them from Nowra Showground to the Council Chambers. It is the first time a truck of this size has entered the parade which will be an attraction of it’s own.
The float will also include some of the cast from the recent productions of Oliver! and Grease.
Director Kade O’Rourke was very confident about their chances of taking out first prize in the parade competition.
“We’re going to win best display in the River Festival,” he said.
“We’ve got a really nice truck donated by TNT, we’re going to decorate it, sing some songs and dance down the main street.”
Mr O’Rourke is certain Legally Blonde the Musical will entertain audiences from beginning to end.
“It’s a high energy musical based on the movie Legally Blonde, it follows the story of Elle Woods as she tries to win back the love of her life Warner, but realises that’s not what life revolves around,” he said.
“We’ve got a wonderful cast of around 30 and we’ve tried to bring a little bit of the personalities of who we have in the cast.
“It’s ridiculously fun from start to finish.”
You can catch Legally Blonde the Musical from November 11 – 20 for seven performances at Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre.
The 2016 Shoalhaven River Festival will take place on October 22 – 23.
