Organised by the Men of League Foundation South Coast Committee, the day is a chance to get together and play a few ends on the greens whilst helping to raise funds for the Men of League Foundation and its work with men, women and children of the rugby league community.
Men of League Foundation’s NSW manager Stuart Raper said the day was sure to be a success for the committee and encouraged everyone in the Nowra region who shared their love of rugby league to go along and participate.
“This should be a wonderful day of bowls and friendship in Nowra. Our bowls days are always great fun and are an opportunity to catch up off the footy field and enjoy a few ends of social bowls,” Raper said.
“There will be an auction, raffles and prizes all day. Entry is just $20 per person and includes bowls, afternoon tea and two drink tickets.
“Funds raised from the afternoon go to helping the Men of League Foundation to care for those from within the rugby league community who may have fallen on hard times and need some assistance.
“We help people with a range of services from visits to those who may be feeling socially isolated, to household improvements and financial support.”
