A 57-year-old man is in a serious condition in hospital after he was stabbed numerous times in Sydney's south-west.

Emergency services were called to a property believed to be a hairdresser's shop on Ohlfsen Road, Minto.
They located a man suffering a number of stab wounds. He was treated by paramedics at the scene before being airlifted to Liverpool Hospital where he is in a critical condition.
Local residents said the victim was regularly seen walking his dog in the area.
Another man was arrested nearby and taken to Macquarie Fields police station, where he is assisting police with inquires. The man is expected to be charged.
A crime scene has been established and investigations are continuing.
