Sometime between 8pm Friday and 6am Saturday, unknown people broke into the Aspinall Street home while the 85-year-old female owner was asleep in her bedroom.
Shoalhaven LAC Duty Officer, Chief Inspector Steve Johnson said the thieves went through jewellery boxes in the woman’s bedroom, stealing a number of items including a replica Victoria Cost given to her by her husband.
The homeowner did not realise she had been broken into until the next morning when she discovered the home’s back sliding door open.
