THE under 18s Nowra-Bomaderry Jets secured their place in the major semi-final next weekend, following a 28-20 victory against the Milton-Ulladulla Bulldogs at Kevin Walsh Oval.

Try-scorers for the victors were Matt Scott (2), Tyson Simpson, Kuyan Wellington and Trent Waldren, while Zac Blattner landed four goals. Callum Franchi, Nathan Meredith, Dylan Carriage and Cruize Turay scored tries for the Dogs, with Sam McCann slotting two goals.
The other remaining Jets side, Peter Atfield’s third grade team. also managed a win in Saturday’s minor semi-final, defeating Gerringong 22-16, thanks to two tries from Keldon McLaughlan.
Also in third grade, the Culburra Pirates defeated Shellharbour City Sharks 34-4 in their major semi-finals.
In the Women’s League Tag, the Berry-Shoalhaven Heads team were knocked out of the finals in extra-time, losing to the Stingrays of Shellharbour 12-8.
