Kembla Grange Racecourse will once again play host to the annual event which has raised more than $300,000 over the last 15 years for Noah’s Shoalhaven.
Fundraising coordinator Lynn Burns said the money will go towards purchasing resources to support children with additional needs.
“Fundraising is essential for Noah’s, as we provide a service to over 800 children annually,” Mrs Burns said.
“We do receive some government funding, however to provide a quality service to our clients and their families, extra money is required to support this.”
Mrs Burns also wanted to extend a thank you to race day organiser Mary Evans for the time, dedication and support she has given to Noah’s over the last 15 years.
“We have loyal sponsors which come on board each year, Slingsby Holdings is our major sponsor of the feature race and has been on board for the past ten years, if I didn’t have their support it would be hard to get it off the ground. Their donation is the foundation for the day,” Organiser Mary Evans said.
“It’s a great day out raising money that people enjoy because all the expenses are taken care of in the purchase of the ticket.
“At the end of the day, what ever we make, Noah’s benefit.”
Tickets are $100 and include return coach transport, race course entry, race book, buffet luncheon in the Bert Lillye Lounge, three drink vouchers and afternoon tea.
For ticket purchases contact Mary Evans on 0415 509321.
